Biographical history
René was (samen met zijn vrouw Josée) uitbater van het café en feestzaal De Hertog ('t Boske) op de hoek van de Doelveldstraat en de Hovestraat. Hij was medestichter en bezieler van VEVASCO (Vereniging van oud-scouts in Edegem), maar bovenal een verwoed amateurfilmer. Hij maakte van allerlei evenementen in Edegem een reportage en monteerde de films.
